After organizing the Desolation Center shows, Director Stuart Swezey went on to be a founder of the influential underground bookstore, extreme information sourcebook and publishing house Amok Books. Inspired by the works of writer J.G. Ballard, Swezey edited the acclaimed compilation Amok Journal: Sensurround Edition. Subtitled "A Compendium of Psycho-Physiological Investigations," its topics include autoerotic fatalities, self-mutilation/amputee fetish, infrasound, trepanation (cutting a hole in one's head for the purpose of enlightenment), mondo film, cargo cults, and Laibach/Irwin. Get a signed copy of the Amok Journal (as-is condition).
